Hollowcon with Ataru!
Just in time for Halloween, Ladies and Gentlemen join me for some select moments from Hollowcon 2007. Find out what I was really thinking when I was shaking my ass, and why are fan-subbers pissing me off?

A magical carpet ride sprinkled with bits of chocolate and anime.

I have nothing of use to add except, regarding the podcast name: don’t change it.
It is Northern virginia Anime with Ataru. That is where you are, that is your main group that you also promote within the podcast. If you move, and you associate with some other group of people, then maybe change it. But NOVA is your home base right now, even though your audience is nationwide. Stay true to your roots!

Hmmm. You have a point, though I feel like people who aren’t from the Northern Virginia area may gloss over the podcast because of its name.
Thanks for listening from Pennsylvania!

In response to “What anime should get adapted in America?” question, I think Gundam would be the next logical step. After the success of Transformers, I could see Hollywood jumping on the mecha bandwagon, as it were. Now, as to what I’d LIKE to see. I think Love Hina would translate pretty well. Yeah, it wouldn’t take place in a hot spring. Yeah, they’d have to age several characters. But, I think it could have a real wacky American Pie feel…only actually funny. Just no Jason Biggs as Keitaro. Please.
