Definitely the worst podcast of the series, but I was sort of anticipating it with the whole “drunk” thing. It wasn’t even the really long discussion of hentai, because that was semi-informative and related to the theme of the podcast. It was mostly the stuff that had nothing to do with anime, and not because it was just sidestories. The story about the creepy neighbor was pretty lengthy. I think the worst part though was having to hear about the tampons. I’m a *girl* and I was getting grossed out by it. TMI when someone needs giant, ultra tampons. And why you (and consequently, the rest of us) were dragged into it is beyond me, because girls know when that thing is coming, and you prepare and/or handle it yourself. So even though Katsu was a bust, it was even moreso because someone was slacking off on hemorrhage management…

Yanno, I don’t think I’ve ever once talked to a girl that was “grossed out” by period talk of any sort. Hell, I’ve had to coach classmates through that kind of stuff in the past. It’s kinda sad that some people actually still think that way…
I hope it’s not some wierd reversed misogynistic disorder.
Anyway, all in all, sure it could have been left out….but I think it’s nice you’re close and comfortable enough with a girl that you’re okay with running out to grab necessities that are practically the equivalent of soap these days.
As creepy and funny as it was….I think the neighbor thing ran a little long. But you were drunk…and it kinda added to the amusement that your usual ADD was escalated.
My favorite parts were the random serenades and the eventual break down. XD
All in all, with the word “drunk” attached to it, I think it was successful and very amusing. But definitely not my favorite.
Just try not to keep getting too distracted and give us an alcohol-free ep next time. ^^
