  6. In regards to your question of what the legal age is, there’s been a rumor for a long time that the age of consent in Virginia is 16. This rumor also circulates with “It is! I checked!” However, none of the people circulating this rumor actually have checked, they just say they did because that’s the way they heard it. I actually did check a while back, and often recheck because it keeps coming up. Whenever I say that it’s 18 and that I actually did check, they say “They changed it.” That’s just an outright lie. Either that, or they were duped. On another note, usually when the girls are the ones saying that, it’s because they’re horny.

    As far as I can tell, that list is up-to-date where it matters. I’m not checking it against all 50 states and the other countries.

    Virginia has a hard line at 18. It is illegal in the Virginia for an 18-year-old to have sex with a 17-year-old. I know that seems silly, but that’s the law. Anyone saying otherwise is just circulating a rumor they heard… and there’s a lot of them.

    Now, the next anime convention on the schedule is Katsucon, which is in DC. The legal age in DC is 16. IMHO, that makes the game easier.

    Now, to actually comment on your podcast. I remember you saying before you were trying to shorten it, but this one’s nearly 40 minutes. I listen to your podcasts while playing WoW, so not only does the extra length not bother me, but since it doesn’t every really get dull, I prefer the longer format.

    I wish I had been around for the game.

    It was nice hearing the amusement that is AUSA, since I was only there for a few hours on Saturday. The sound quality wasn’t so bad. Thats just you being hard on yourself again and I agree with Darxim about the length of the podcast, since it was pretty humorous.

    Can’t wait for the next one!

    By the way, loved the “Is She Legal?” song.

  16. Ya know, they charged me 9 bucks for a Jack and Baileys…it made me sad inside.

    And yes, the dry-humping was indeed fun, mind you, the realization that you were a guy wasnt really a mind-blowing one because hey…it’s a con…people do wierd shit at cons. Right?

    And the “Is She Legal” game with my girlfriend was amusing enough :P
